Elizabeth Murray Oral History of Women in the Visual Arts

Plowshares Media developed this oral history project named in honor of the recently deceased celebrated painter and printmaker, Elizabeth Murray, in collaboration with the Columbia Oral History Center. The history is a compilation of interviews recorded over the span of two years.  Resulting in over 200 hours of interviews, the oral history details the life and career histories of twenty women artists, collectors and curators whose contributions have impacted the art world in the twentieth and twenty-first centuries. Plowshares has worked tirelessly to bring the important stories and contributions of these women artists to light.
